Aaron Foster Bresley is a composer and programmer whose music deals with the politics inherent in musical creation and performance. His work often focuses on the tension between the demands for precise and subtle techniques, especially those in regards to Just Intonation, and the freedom of choice given to the performer. He holds an MFA in composition from the California Institute of the Arts. In his offtime he is the co-founder of FWD: rcrds, co-founder and a director of ‘co-incidence, an experimental music residency’, as well as a director of EcceArts. His work has been premiered and played in Europe and around North America. He currently resides in New York City.
