Ecce Plays Trevor Weston

Bombyx Center for Arts and Equity

On August 20th, 2022, The Bombyx Center for Arts and Equity hosted Ecce Arts in its annual summer concert series, Etchings, as they performed the music of Trevor Weston. An album of works from the program is forthcoming.

Trevor Weston’s music brought a vivid blend of intellect, rhythm, and emotional depth to the 2022 Etchings Festival. His works, celebrated for their syncopated clarity and expressive power, shaped the festival’s atmosphere through performances, workshops, and close collaboration with Ecce’s musicians.

The festival highlighted key pieces from across Weston’s catalog, from energetic orchestral writing to intimate chamber works, revealing the breadth of his voice and the influence of his mentors and musical lineage. His presence offered composers and performers a direct window into his creative process and artistic philosophy.

Etchings 2022 also marked an important step toward future recording projects, with Ecce presenting a focused portrait concert of Weston’s chamber music. The week underscored his role as a leading figure in contemporary composition and deepened his connection to the festival’s community of artists.
